The Ogdensburg Police Department is proud to let you know that we will participate and support the Blue Envelope Program. Individuals that wish to obtain an envelope may come to the Ogdensburg Police Department and pick one up. I will also leave some envelopes in the foyer area. We currently have 100 envelopes.

What is the Blue Envelope Program?
The Blue Envelope Program is a localized communication support tool used during law enforcement interactions—most commonly traffic stops—to help individuals (primarily those with Autism Spectrum Disorder) who may have communication, sensory, or cognitive challenges.
The envelope typically contains:
- A driver’s documents
- A brief explanation that the individual may need additional time or accommodations
- Guidance for officers on how to reduce stress and improve communication during the encounter
